forget happiness, go for ecstasy…..

In the ecstatic moment, there is no wrongmaking, no finding fault, no self-righteousness. In the ecstatic moment, everything is acceptable as it is. People are acceptable as they are. There is no need to fix anyone or anything. Consciousness of lack does not exist. That is why all of the great spiritual teachers have asked us to ‘wake up’ and ‘pay attention.’ They have asked us to look at our own thoughts and the feelings associated with them so that we can see how they impact our experience. So the first act of spiritual practice is simply ‘awareness.’ We always return to awareness because that is where the ecstasy is. Simple awareness of what we are thinking and feeling in any moment. Not trying to fix. Heart open. The ecstatic moment. It is always there. Just remember, everything is okay just the way it is. Just keep bringing in love and acceptance. The rest will take care of itself…..Paul Ferrini

the simplicity of this urge to sit with what is finds me simultaneously attracted and skeptical of letting go…..control gives us the illusion of okness and when we just allow life to happen, yes, there is flow…..and it seems so contrary….a finely tuned paradox….

When we recognize the sacred in others, we are reminded of it in ourselves. Then we begin to understand and answer the ancient plea that we ‘see Christ in each other, and be Christ to each other.’ Perception is not a passive process but rather is an active creation, and the state of the world we perceive reflects the state of mind within us. With paranoia, we see a hostile, terrifying world. With pronoia we see the love and kindness within us mirrored by the people around us. With transnoia the world is perceived as expressions of the transcendent and as part of a vast plan to awaken and enlighten us. Spiritual practices heal paranoia, and by opening the eye of the soul, they allow us to live and love in pronoia and transoia………Roger Walsh

cultivating the dream of love….

Speak and act with a pure mind

And happiness will follow you

As your shadow, unshakable…

Set your heart on doing good.

Do it over and over again,

And you will be filled with joy.

…Buddha
