The divine aspect of Beauty, like Majesty, is free of all power dynamics because it is complete. As Rumi described it, “Subtle degrees of domination and servitude are what you know as love. But love is different, it arrives complete- just there like the moon at the window.” Most of us are caught in the ego’s dynamics of domination and servitude, patterns of control and dependence, security and insecurity. We search for psychological safety in one or the other of these opposites, and we have projected these dynamics into an image of love and also spiritual life. But as Rumi says, divine love is very different- it is complete. It is free. Within this love we are ourselves, alone with the Beloved. ~Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
what seems so ordinary couldn’t be so profound- could it?
inquiry for today~ allow the day to be simple and transparent and true……
Every day, priests minutely examine the Law
And endlessly chant complicated sutras.
Before doing that, though, they should learn
How to read the love letters sent by the wind
And rain, the snow and moon.
