No matter the many years

I’ve felt the need to search, 

the sun spilling through the 

trees reminds me that this 

day about to happen is 

enough.

And no matter how many

times I’ve been hurt, seeing 

the light behind another’s 

eyes reminds me that nothing 

can replace being alive with 

another.

We could have been born 

around the world from each 

other or centuries apart, but 

here we are in an exquisite

orchestration of randomness

by which life finds other life,

only to discover that we have 

loved each other forever.
