The trees show us how to let go,
not in despair, but in color,
a final flare of beauty before the stillness of winter.
~ Mary Anne Byrne
for the love of this wandering life…
inquiry for today~ where will you go to find solace?
Perhaps the greatest gift of the contemplative renewal
is that it reawakens our awareness of this original participation-
what we might also call the original blessing, the divine indwelling.
This participation is not something
we achieve or accomplish. It is entirely a gift- given freely,
objectively, metaphysically, truthfully, and completely.
Once we realize this,
the whole character of the spiritual journey changes.,
it is no longer a climb toward moral worthiness,
but an awakening to what has always been true.
~Richard Rohr
