A Sacred Place
Here, where the world is distant,
I lay down a circle of quiet,
a patch of earth where worries soften,
where the sun spills gold across the grass.
A stone, warm from the afternoon,
holds my back like an old friend.
The wind braids through the tall stems,
and whispers stories only the still can hear.
Here, I let my breath settle,
let my heart unclench its careful fist.
Whatever was heavy drifts away,
like a leaf surrendering to the river.
This is enough,
a space held open for wonder,
for silence, for returning home
to the sacred within.

how we lean into deeper spaces….
inquiry for today~ find a daydream….
The most fortunate are those who have a wonderful capacity to appreciate again and again,
freshly and naively, the basic goods of life, with awe, pleasure, wonder and even ecstasy.
