when things are going right

open heart & a belly laugh

Middle ground is one of the ultimate illusions. I think a little backwards, in that, it seems we notice more of what is right & wrong in our lives when things are ‘going great.’

It’s unsettling to wait for upset. Strange to hold your breath. A little guilty about feeling great. Why?

There is always suffering. Admitting it or not, we waver in our pedantic musings to cover up discomfort….always on the fence between okness & notokness….

What is this about? It’s about all that is unlived…all that is not done…all of the questioning about ‘where we are’….is it enough?

We lose our connection…..the core of this crack in us…

I am the rain coming from the dew that causes the grasses to laugh with the joy of life. I call forth tears, the aroma of holy work. I am the yearning of good………..Hildegard of Bingen

Yes, as I said, we suffer from our illusions of middle ground. We yearn for goodness. We make it a struggle. We are in our own way.

Like wild horses, beautiful, strange, holy, desired, curious….no middle ground.

We want that. We want to be the wild horse, running free….no consequences. The ultimate romantic vision……

The minutiae of the surreal ok moment…..

A mystical experience is a sense of your not being what you thought you were, an experience of your heart’s or mind’s true nature…….Mark Epstein

Being ok may be a mystery….a looking glass…Raw, unfettered.

What you are looking for is who is looking…….St. Francis of Assisi
