As we move deeper into the transformational journey of any authentic path, it gradually becomes clear that the journey is not what most of us imagined or fantasized it would be…at least not what ego hoped it would be. Any authentic spiritual process takes the deep unconscious material within us….as well as all of our fundamental confusions & illusions about the nature of mind….& brings it to the surface of our awarenesss, so we can see it for what it is & discover how to relate to it. This process often brings us to our knees, at times leaving us wondering if ignorance really is bliss….while knowing that we could not return to that state of ignorance even if we wanted to….Mariana Caplan
Like a cat caught in a cage….the deepest & most indescribable & palpable fear which is finally looked at (sometimes)….& it’s not fear at all….it’s your ego & the denial of ego.
and yet, I love the advice to ‘regard all as a dream’…..the sweet spot of witnessing…not so foggy…..knowing the fog comes & goes….dreams call us in deeply & we are then able to swoon…..
nothing like the twinkle of imagination…
Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses, who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty & courage. Perhaps everything terrible is, in its deepest sense, something helpless that needs our love….Rilke

So beautifully said. Love Rilke and loving your pages. Following you now 🙂 Thank you for visiting mine. I’ll be back… just can’t say when but I will be back.

I will ponder on these words.
Thanks for sharing a love of questioning & pondering….
