Prayer is nothing but
the inhaling and exhaling
of the one breath of the universe.
…..Hildegard von Bingen
there is this beautiful mystery we tap into when we remember the soul knows….prayer lulls us back into presence when we forget why we are here…..immediate, like the relief of tears….
Prayer expresses the longing of your heart. When offered with presence and sincerity, it can reveal the source of what you long for – the loving essence of who you are.

C.S. Lewis wrote: “I pray because I can’t help myself. I pray because I’m helpless. I pray because the need flows out of me all the time, waking and sleeping. It doesn’t change God. It changes me” More than anything, prayer helps me get my sense of humor back. It brings me back to my heart, from the treacherous swamp of my mind. It brings me back to the now, the holy moment, whether that means watching candles float on the Ganges or bending down in my front yard to study a lavish dandelion, delicate as a Spirograph drawing, that looks like its very own galaxy. So I pray constantly between bouts of trying to live on life’s terms. Help. Thanks. Wow……Anne Lamott
Wonderful, thank you.
one prayer at a time……a wonder-filled weekend to you David….
Your image is a reminder. Often, I see purple clover pushing up between the pine needles that skirt the tallest trees. Without real understanding, they instinctively know their way out of the clutter. Purple hands open to the light……. Such, our lesson. You are loved……today especially. ~ Bobbie
And I feel loved….in between the clover and the poetess with words like dew……an awe-filled prayer that knows its own heart…..happy day Bobbie…..
