ephemeral power

The purpose of our lives is to give birth to the best which is within us. We’re all assigned a piece of the garden, a corner of the universe that is ours to transform. Our corner of the universe is our own life- our relationships, our homes, our work, our current circumstances- exactly as they are. Every situation we find ourselves in is an opportunity, perfectly planned b the Holy Spirit, to teach love instead of fear. Whatever energy system we find ourselves a part of, it’s our job to heal it- to purify the thought forms by purifying our own. It’s never really a circumstance that needs to change- it’s we who need to change. The prayer isn’t for God to change our lives, but rather for Him to change us.  ~Marianne Williamson

what is unforgettable? what is unfathomable? what is unforgivable? what is unknowable?

The light alone-

Gives grace and truth to life’s unquiet dream.

~Percy Bysshh Shelley

what touches us, saves us

The heart is where the nature, feeling and intimacy of a life dwell and without heart the world grows suddenly cold. In its desire for beauty, it reaches towards the beyond. This poignant straining suggests that beauty is the homeland of the heart. When it can dwell in beauty the heart is home. The human heart is the masterpiece of the primal artist. When God created it, it was fashioned for an eternal kinship with beauty; God knew that the human heart would always be wedded to him in desire, for the other name of God is beauty. The heart is the tabernacle of divine beauty. St. John of the Cross puts this poetically:

I did not have to ask my heart what it wanted

because of all the desires I have every known,

just one did I cling to

for it was the essence of all desire:

to know beauty.

~John O’Donohue
