intentions to be heartened

As I get older I am starting to appreciate the byproduct of going through challenging times:

the possibility of cultivating greater resilience, growth and hopefully,

greater compassion and wisdom.

If nothing else, I learned a lot this year

As you reflect on what has passed and what is calling.

I hope you can take the time you need to sense what most enlivens you

in the year ahead and move toward that.

December kicks off a time of reflection for me, a practice I’ve done for 5 years.

In it I attempt, with as much honesty as possible, to answer three questions-

What worked?

What didn’t work?

What calls me in 2021?

~Jonathan Faust

who is the calling for?

inquiry for today~ what have you lost? what is found again?

what is happening for you?

People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul.

One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.

~Carl Jung

  1. Good questions to ask every day. I always thought Jung walked the line of mysticism, but was cautious in his day not to alienate himself from academia. Wise man (Shaman).

    • Yes. I appreciated too how Jung used himself as an experiment. I’m asking myself lots of questions this year. Intention is everything right now. Showing up. Thanks g.f.s….
