It is not about reaching some extraordinary level of achievement of relative perfection so that you can love yourself fully. Yes, discipline and effort are important. Yet know that there will constantly be areas you can grow and improve upon…always. That is part of the fun in this game of existence, there is no true finish line for improvement. But what is vital is to love yourself throughout the journey. To have radical acceptance of where you are at this moment. To know you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Yes, keep growing, yet you are more than worthy of all the love exactly as you are now.

maybe this too shall call on grace….
inquiry for today~ where can you sense your fresh heart?
I worried a lot. Will the garden grow, will the rivers
flow in the right direction, will the earth turn
as it was taught, and if not how shall
I correct it?
Was I right, was I wrong, will I be forgiven,
can I do better?
Will I ever be able to sing, even the sparrows
can do it and I am, well,
hopeless.
Is my eyesight fading or am I just imagining it,
am I going to get rheumatism,
lockjaw, dementia?
Finally, I saw that worrying had come to nothing.
And gave it up. And took my old body
and went out into the morning,
and sang.
