touching on our aliveness

After you have exhausted what there is in business, politics, conviviality, love, and so on—have found that none of these finally satisfy, or permanently wear—what remains? Nature remains; to bring out from their torpid recesses, the affinity of a person with the open air, the trees, fields, the change of seasons—the sun by day and the stars of Heaven by night.

~Walt Whitman

mysteries of where the sacred meets the heart…

inquiry for today~ may you truly know your sense of belonging today…

connected and free…

Not everyone who goes to the mountains is happy.

Some are healing. Some are hiding.

Some are just tired of pretending they’re okay.

People love the outdoors for different reasons.

Some want the silence—because life is too loud.

Some want simplicity—because everything feels so complicated.

Some are looking for peace they can’t find at home.

And yes, some are truly in love with nature.

The dirt, the sweat, the stars—they feel alive out there.

But for many, it’s not about the view.

It’s about breathing again.

One trail at a time.

One campsite at a time.

One quiet escape at a time.

So when you see someone walking into the wild, remember—

they might not be looking for an adventure.

They might just be looking for themselves.
