finding love

Within your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go.

~Louise Driscoll

So if you would keep the equinox in the old way, do not make too much noise about it. Sweep your threshold. Lay apples in a bowl. Break bread. Light a candle at dusk. Stand a while beneath the open sky where the swallows pass or the crows are calling home.

Give thanks for what came to fullness in the bright months. Give welcome to what must now be kept, tended, and carried inward. Touch the gatepost, the bark of the ash, the stone by the step, and remember that the year is not dying.

It is being handed over.

Summer lays her gold into autumn’s russet hands. Autumn takes it gently. The Sky Ancient watches. The Earth Ancient blesses the exchange.

And in the first deepening of the evening, while day and night still hold each other even, the whole world passes, softly as a loaf from palm to palm, from one season into the next.

when it’s time to show up…

inquiry for today~ what is most important to remember today?

I’ve bee dreaming…

Behind the cotton wool is hidden a pattern-

the whole world is a work of art-

there is no Shakespeare-

no Beethoven-

no God; we are the words-

we are the music;

we are the thing itself.

~Virginia Woolf
