this slow-moving time

The art of soulmaking is taking our lives in our hands and-

with all the love and discernment we can muster-

gently whittling away the parts that don’t resemble the True Self.

~Sue Monk Kidd

taking care of all the things….

inquiry for today~ remembering how to live?

coming undone again….

I wake up, add to my list,

make my plans, and drive

from here to there, longing

for the calm when the list

is checked off.

While this resembles peace,

I admit it isn’t peace. Just as

putting things in order isn’t

harmony.

So, why do I keep making

lists? Because I live in the

world. And though this is

a needed skill, it’s not a

code to live by.

On my way to nowhere, I

keep watching the leaves

drift to the ground. Isn’t

this a better way?
