Love, Love Halloween, Samhain

All Hallows’ Eve is a wonderful time of celebration. Harvest. Shorter days. Winter’s quiet approach. Blustery skies. Remembrances for the dead.

I would love to build a bonfire in the ‘old’ traditional ways, dance, kiss the wretched old witch, and celebrate this thin time between the living and the dead.

Who do you remember? Who do you miss?

One of my favorite memories of Halloween is Charlie Brown & The Great Pumpkin…

Linus…”Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He’s gotta pick this one. He’s got to. I don’t see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there’s not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see.”

Can’t wait to share a piece of art reflective of this time of year….it’s almost finished….complete with body parts and a reflective mood.

Don’t be morose. Get your groove on. Costume. Don’t forget the dance part. I personally will be out trick or treating, costuming, and toasting the dead with a sweet martini…….

  1. I love this time of year too. Just something so wonderful about the slow change of seasons, and I love seeing nature fall away and reveal the beauty beneath all the greenery. Great post! And Blessed Samhain! 🙂
