it’s almost time to set sail again….I am ready to be on the water…
water connects us to something solid (how is that?)…..brings the most profound peace….allows all else to wash away…
what is most powerful about being on the water is landing on dry ground again…bringing back a more whole & cleansed perspective….
allowing stronger affirmations of life-giving thirst, hunger & tenderness…..lighter….loose….ok….
nothing like a good pb&j on the boat….a sweet wind…..& light reflecting & dazzling….
it’s a gift to be able to bring this back home…..fresh….alive….
Super-Goals of Aliveness
Once we have awakened to the spiritual dimension of ourselves, we live in an ongoing experience of unity, or inseparability, with everything that we encounter. We live in a dimension of spaciousness & stillness that renders all experience fundamentally equal…..Judith Blackstone
May we not feel this too intellectually, but rather celebrate our innate rootedness, our watery fluidity, & our mysterious humanness…
It is one & the same Self that shines as one’s own self as well as the selves of others.

Your thoughts touch the tides flowing through us all. I’d like to share this post with you http://grandfathersky.wordpress.com/2011/12/28/a-river-runs-through-it/
Thank you for this subtly powerful message.
Thank you for this!….Lovely…’when we can rest at the water’s edge…’
Yes….I am haunted by water, too…..
In Theosophy there is a statement “where, land, and water, and air meet, that is the place for magic to be wrought”
Maybe this is why we ‘do well’ when we are walking the water’s edge, ‘jumping the cliff’ of decision making, & dancing through thunderstorms…thank you…
What a wonderful post. There is a grace of language that offers itself here, a willingness to mirror what it describes, reflections on water that hold form and yield to imagination. Lovely. I agree that by floating we find ground, in surrender we are held. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing…….water holds the ‘clean paradox’ quite well, yes?
“what is most powerful about being on the water is landing on dry ground again…bringing back a more whole & cleansed perspective….”
Very insightful ! I love to be on the water, but don’t get nearly enough chances. I’m going to make it happen soon though…thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for sharing…..pleased it inspires….
I think Bruce Lee would have loved you.
Master Lee said,
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.”
Thanks….the best connections are the seemingly unlikely ones….this quote is sublime…love the mysteries in what you teach…
