cosmic loneliness & its depth of possibility

In a profound way the solution to our community problems, or social conflict, lies not in better understanding & better improvement progams, but in the depth & sublimity of our thoughts & affections, in deeper living & holier values. Religion as a way of life & an attitude of fundamental reverence is the only ground on which our humanity can stand & thrive- not religion as a defensive structure of anxious beliefs, but religion as an open heart capable of allowing life to unfold & strong enough to support a radical philosophy of love…….Thomas Moore

allowing life to unfold without exploiting it….searching for our sacred stories through a passionate response to reimagine our lives..not so much as an image of ourselves, but rather a reflection of our light….

our hearts hold nothingness so gently….

All the possibilities of your human destiny are asleep in your soul. You are here to realize & honor these possibilities. Possibility is the secret heart of time. Regardless of its sadness or beauty, each day empties & vanishes. Love is our deepest nature, & consciously or unconsciously, each of us searches for love. We do not need to go out to find love; rather, we need to be still & let love discover us. Love is the deepest language & presence of soul……John O’Donahue

    • When we stop for a moment to ‘allow’ instead of striving so hard to fit everything into our ‘story’ & our expectations, we sometimes see an ‘unfolding’ of life which as Rimbaud would say is ‘so fine & so rare’….thank you g.f.s. for the gentle reminder to ‘nuance’ into the presence of love a little bit…

  1. Great post IB…love is life, love and life flow naturally. it is not about control. manipulation or any attempt to manage expectation. x

    • Well said…moving to the deeper context of love shows us our true capacity for tenderness…love & light to you…thanks Jane…
