Wherever the practitioner goes, she knows she is touching the kingdom of God under her feet. Because I practice freedom & compassion wherever I go, my feet touch the kingdom of God, the ultimate dimension everywhere. When we cultivate this kind of touching, then the important elements of solidity & freedom will be available to us twenty four hours a day. ‘I have arrived, I am home.’ The home of the wave is water. It’s right there. She does not have to travel thousands of miles in order to arrive at her true home. It’s so simple & so powerful. I would like to invite you to memorize this little poem & to practice & remember it many times a day. In this way you will touch the ultimate dimension & always remember your true home…..Thich Nhat Hanh
deepening into compassionate presence is the stuff of warriors…..such courage is asked of a heart that is already beating millions of beats to follow breath, life force, soul….we reclaim ourselves again & again….lost when we need to ride the wave the most….who helps us? do we carry enough integrity & grit & perseverance to cultivate the ultimate acts of kindness for ourselves?
standing alone as an inter-being….
Now I become myself. It’s taken
Time, many years & places,
I have been dissolved & shaken,
Worn other people’s faces,
Run madly, as if Time were there,
Terribly old, crying a warning,
‘Hurry, you will be dead before-‘
(What? Before you reach the morning”
or the end of the poem is clear?
Or love safe in the walled city?)
Now to stand still, to be here,
Feel my own weight & density!…
Now there is time & Time is young.
O, in this single hour I live
All of myself & do not move
I, the pursued, who madly ran,
Stand still, stand still, & stop the Sun!

we forget that gratitude calms many troubles….lands us home…..helps us to feel our heartbeat grounded in reality or truth (depending on how the particular day is perceived will determine whether it’s reality or truth for you)…gratitude untangles us….
(Being a Spiritual Warrior)
Until the heart becomes an inlet,
it cannot be free….
….Mark Nepo
