the ethics of an ordinary & beautiful life

the never ending delight of life in bloom

God won’t be in life like a bright morning.

We have to go down into the shaft

And through the hard work of mining

bring up the earth’s abundance.

We have to stand hunched over

And in tunnels dig him out.

our descent into the soul is encouraging to our bare roots….this heady mixture of digging and praying is intuitive….we just keep digging….a deep emotional trust in life…..

going back and forth, explicit in clarity…….

Roger Walsh found that the world religions share seven similar practices to awaken the heart and mind and increase receptivity to inner guidance and wisdom, a universal spiritual map:

-Transform your motivation: reduce craving and find your soul’s desire.

-Cultivate emotional wisdom: heal your heart and learn to love.

-Live ethically: feel good by doing good.

-Awaken your spiritual vision: see clearly and recognize the sacred in all things.

-Cultivate spiritual intelligence: develop wisdom and understand life.

-Express spirit in action: embrace generosity and the joy of service.

poetry in service…..a new intellect for guiding moral intelligence……a deep breath……the mystery shining behind conventional religious experience……where do we force values?

  1. It is only forced when we trade true religion for dogma. When we turn lovers into sinners, and require penance to get to heaven. Do what though wilt shall be the whole of the law..Love is the law. Love under will. As a concept and a guide religion has its purpose, but our only judge should be our conscience…

    • Beautifully and cogently stated… the rituals in religion, but guided by my own intuitive conscience…as you say, love is the law…….big sky love to you g.f.s…..
