We don’t realize that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace….Elizabeth Gilbert

this is the peace of ritual and family and the deep quiet of trees…..and it is also the peace that comes with leaning into suffering, heartache, and fragile wings……may we know these gifts….

What if this is so, always, even in our moments of emotional turmoil, physical pain or mental anguish? Is there a centre that rests in stillness, that embodies peace? Sometimes, even though I cannot shift my awareness into this place, just knowing it is there helps me take a long slow breath into this moment, whatever it holds. May we connect to that centre each day……Oriah Mountain Dreamer

the sensual spirit

Peace is born out of equanimity and balance. Balance is flexibility, an ability to adjust graciously to change. Equanimity arises when we accept the way things are. If you expect your life to be up and down, your mind will be much more peaceful….Lama Yeshe

  1. As a child, I loved the thrill of holding shells to my ear – listening for the sound of some faraway tide. It was both a mystery and a comfort. While I still marvel at the symphony of shells, I have come to love the sound of my own laughter, my heartbeat, my anxious breath. When immersed in wondering, it is a sweet scarlet ribbon – tying me (weaving me) to my own truths. It is my salvation, my assurance, my own sweet hallowed home. Sometimes, all it takes is a breath to bring me back. May the warmth that is remembrance wrap gentle ’round your heart. ~ Love ever, Bobbie

    • daydreaming is a sacred act I think…..and it’s so connected to that grounding breath…..rooting and from there we are able to dream…..wrap those dreams around you like a hand knitted shawl dear Bobbie…..loved, worn and alive…
