suffering hearts

Do not be afraid to face your difficultly.

Turn toward it.

Lean into the wind.

Hold your ground.

~Jack Kornfield

don’t leave your heart behind……that’s the message when the lines are harder, divided, risky, ending……

inquiry for today~   when your leaky heart begins to drown, what then?

don’t forget me

I sense deeply this dividedness is not new. It is old, very old, and can be fanned from sparks here and there, into flaming all over the place. It is not carried on the Heart of Love, it is carried into a conflagration on Something Less than Love.

We do what we can, what we are called to within our reach. Remember I always say, ‘To help, start anywhere. Anywhere.’

That remains the blessed truth. Start anywhere, but do start.

If you already have, bless you. If you will soon, bless you.

Hang in there all who are walking this road of striving toward helping/healing whatever within one’s reach needs helping, healing.

Remember in one very real aspect, we live in a wounded world, with antepasados y los ancianos, elders and ancestors who have contributed and done so much despite, and because of their wounds. More healing is needed, and less faceless blaming and bleating is needed also.

Remember from the holy writings? one of the most gorgeous writings by an ancient, an ancestor who belongs to us all, for surely they were a poet inspired by el espirito santo, the holy ghost…

If I speak in the tongues
of men or of angels,
but do not have love,
I am only a resounding gong
or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy
and can fathom all mysteries
and all knowledge, and if I have
a faith that can move mountains,
but do not have love,
I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor
and give over my body to hardship
that I may boast,
but do not have love,
I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
