Ignorance, in fact, refers to every moment that attention is not consciously abiding in grace. It sustains an experience of life that feels a bit like the biblical sense of “cast from Eden.” Through the lens of wise view, though, we can see this experience of being cast from Eden- separate from grace- not as punishment but as predicament. With grace functioning in us and through us, we can dissipate the mirage of “self” in the clear light of wisdom and come to know the third noble truth for ourselves. The third noble truth is a realized awareness of our own essential nature. Our essential nature has never, even for a moment, been absent. It’s Eden, home. Ignorance never heads that way. ~Kathleen Dowling Singh

What you are basically, deep, deep down, far, far in, is simply the fabric and structure of existence itself. ~Alan Watts
