how we seek resolution

We should find perfect existence through imperfect existence.

~Shunryu Suzuki

how do we identify our blind spots? our places where we fight so hard?

inquiry for today~   who do you praise? who do you blame? who is the fearless one? who is the one who begins again?

pause on the path of “something better ahead”

To stay with the shakiness- to stay with a broken heart, with the feeling of hopelessness and wanting to get revenge- that is the path of true awakening. Sticking with that uncertainty, getting the knack of relaxing in the midst of chaos, learning not to panic- this is the spiritual path. Getting the knack of catching ourselves, of gently and compassionately catching ourselves, it the path of the warrior. We catch ourselves one zillion times as once agin, whether we like it or not, we harden into resentment, bitterness, righteous, indignation- harden in any way, even into a sense of relief, a sense of inspiration.

The spiritual journey involves going beyond hope and fear, stepping into unknown territory, continually moving forward. The most important aspect of being on the spiritual path may be to just keep moving.
