He: God is more powerful than this virus.
She: Perhaps God is this virus unfolding. All that we see is That One.
He: We are at war with this evil killer.
She: There is a teaching for every person. Have you not had a thought that is new?
He: We must conquer it and return to normal.
She: A door to the new has creaked open. The ways of the past led to ruin.
He: God will stop the spread of this suffering. He will hear our prayers and take mercy.
She: We are the hands and feet of That One. It is our time to create a just world.
He: We must look to the Bible for help.
She: A new Bible bubbles up from these times. Prophets are all around us, crying out day and night: Our Earth is the Revelation! Our answers dwell in her depths.
He: Stop! Your words hurt my ears! God’s wrath will rain down upon you.
She: There is no wrathful God who would hurt me. No God on a throne in the sky. We are one with Creation Unfolding. We are Light slowed down to take form.
He: You blaspheme! We are human and sinful!
She: Our bodies are made of stardust, mixed with clay from the Earth. We are the children of Love and Beauty, born from Eternity and time.
He: You speak nonsense. I will not listen.
She: Then your mistakes will repeat again. You will leave no home for your children; you will steal their future and their hope.
He: It’s all in God’s hands, not my own.
She: You’re a child who will not grow up. It is humans who make this culture. Humans who take care of the poor. Humans who stand up to monsters who rape the Earth for her riches. It is a lie that God will save us. It is we with the world in our hands.
He: You are a nasty woman! I will close my ears to your words.
She: Your fear is a dam that is broken, trying to hold back our rivers of truth. We are everywhere speaking our power. New sacred texts are arriving, from the pens of our poets and prophets. The old will be toppled by justice. War and greed will be turned upside down. We are creatures of Earth who adore her, who’ll be silenced no more by your threats.
what is true for you?
inquiry for today~ how many times have you questioned your truth?
If you don’t feel like starting a new project, don’t.
If you don’t feel the urge to make something new,
Just rest in the beauty of the old, the familiar, the known.
If you do’t feel like talking, stay silent.
If you’re fed up with the news, turn it off.
If you want to postpone something until tomorrow, do it.
If you want to do nothing, let yourself do nothing today.
Feel the fullness of the emptiness, the vastness the silence,
The sheer life in your unproductive moments.
Time does not always need to be filled.
You are enough, simply in your being.
