the soul knows

Why do we ask,

What is the way?

For there are as many ways

as there are stars

in the firmament.

wonderment heals…

inquiry for today~ forgive the old ways….

many miles to go….

In this season of transition- whether that is in the earth’s cycles turning toward autumn (or spring), or in the sacred calendar beginning again with Rosh Hashanah this weekend, or in the annual return to school rhythms, or just in your own very personal experience (a transition in a relationship or job or vocation or loss or awareness)- what would it be to pause here on the threshold? To, instead of running full speed into what is “next,” taking a moment to attend to what-has-been? To notice this in-between experience, before whatever you are stepping into?

Consider taking some time to “take stock” today, on the threshold. Attend to the various aspects of your life and relationships and let yourself be honest about what they have been. Notice where it all aligned with your truest desires, and where it didn’t- without judging any of it. Let yourself see it all with/right alongside the eyes of Love.

Where have you been in this past season, spiritually? What has your emotional reality been like? What has life looked like for your mind? How has your body lived into this time? How have you noticed yourself living from your true self, out of your deep longings in/for the world? When has that not been your experience, and what do you tell yourself about that?
