This is a good time to ask: What do you do when you’re weary? What do you do when beauty is close and you feel numb? If every part of life keeps the other healthy, how can listening, speaking, and questioning keep you in this living remedy? How firm is your trust in life these days? If wavering, how can you restore that trust? Are your connecting points to life dislodged? Are you being moved along or are you being opened up? Have you softened your pain till it forms a nectar in your heart? Have you eaten of this nectar? Have you searched for the pain softened in others? Have you eaten of their nectar? Are you letting fresh experience enter and combine, or are you obsessed with sorting and analyzing what comes your way? Are you able to receive, or are you observing and manipulating? We all do both. Rising up and falling down, we all are left with the risk to place ourselves in the open so the larger forces can speak through our mind. We all are left to ask, day to day: from where I am, where is solid ground?….Mark Nepo
when we meet our experience fully, with whatever grit we can match it, with the stunning honesty of commitment…..we release our song to this life……the fludiity of our exhaustion & exhilaration feed the call of the day….from sand to solid ground & back again…
I have decided to find myself a home in the mountains, somewhere high up where one learns to live peacefully
in the cold and the silence.
It’s said that in such a place certain revelations
may be discovered.
That what the spirit reaches from may be eventually felt,
if not exactly understood.
Slowly, no doubt. I’m not talking about a vacation.
Of course at the same time I mean to stay
exactly where I am.
Are you following me?
