the lightness of easy being

Mindfulness is also the ability of the mind to observe without criticism. With this ability, you see things without condemnation or judgment. Nothing surprises you…you just take a balanced interest in things exactly as they are in their natural states. You don’t decide and you don’t judge- you just observe. Mindfulness registers experiences, but it does not compare them. It does not label them or categorize them. It just observes everything as if it were occurring for the first time. Mindfulness sees things as they really are. Once mindfulness becomes part of your everyday life, you develop the capacity to tolerate and accept painful experience, and you cultivate inner resources that help stabilize affect and reduce impulsiveness.

Wonder is the experience of those who reach a sense or state of so-called perfection in the ordering of the world. Experiences of wonder can lead us to a sense of transcendence and realization of higher states of being. From a mystical perspective, wonder relates to affirmation as wonder openings reveal the infinite and the source of all that is, which operate as gateways to uniting experiences. Energetically, wonder is an expression of Eros, a life force that propels one into the present moment and into life and that magnifies attentional capacities……Paul Lenda

consider the wild and abundant nuance of living from new eyes, a place of continual renewal and fresh perspective…..stepping outside of our own limited awareness allows for an opening, a reduction of fear and a sense of expanding consciousness………

-Life can be simple again.  Just choose to focus on one thing at a time.  You don’t have to do it all, and you don’t have to do it all right now.  Breathe, be present, and do your best with what’s in front of you.  What you put into life, life will eventually give you back many times over.

-Let others take you as you are, or not at all.  Speak your truth even if your voice shakes.  By being yourself, you put something beautiful into the world that was not there before.  So walk your path confidently and don’t expect anyone else to understand your journey, especially if they have not been exactly where you are going.

-You are not who you used to be, and that’s OK.  You’ve been hurt; you’ve gone through numerous ups and downs that have made you who you are today.  Over the years, so many things have happened – things that have changed your perspective, taught you lessons, and forced your spirit to grow.  As time passes, nobody stays the same, but some people will still tell you that you have changed.  Respond to them by saying, “Of course I’ve changed.  That’s what life is all about.  But I’m still the same person, just a little stronger now than I ever was before.”….Marc and Angel

Be vulnerable. When the caterpillar disappears into its chrysalis, it is the most vulnerable it will ever be. But it is a necessary step the caterpillar must take in order to sprout wings. It’s terrifying to be vulnerable, but in doing so we reap immense and lasting gifts like: empathy and compassion. Which segues into the next morsel of being. Be open. Being open lets light in. Shedding light on the darker, cobwebbed corners of your being allows you to see what resides there. What needs to be gotten rid of and also has the potential to reveal some valuable item that you never knew you always had……..Kristi Stout
