depth of what we left behind

How do you free yourself? In the deepest sense, you free yourself by finding yourself. You are not the pain you feel, nor are you the part that periodically stresses out. None of these disturbances have anything to do with you. You are the one who notices things. Because your consciousness is separate and aware of these things, you can free yourself. To free yourself of you inner thorns, you simply stop playing into them. The problem is, you either completely avoid situations that would cause them to release, or push them back down in the name of protecting yourself. If you sit within the Self, you will experience the strength of your inner being even when your heart feels weak. This is the essence of the path. this is the essence of a spiritual life. Once you learn that it’s okay to feel inner disturbances, and that they can no longer disturb your seat of consciousness, you will be free. You will begin to be sustained by the inner energy flow that comes from behind you. That’s how you become a free being- you transcend. ~Michael Singer

how many decisions become no decision? how do we fade out of our own life? where do we draw upon Source to understand, and when do we simply let it all slip by?……who/what gets in the way?

There are circumstances that must shatter you; and if you are not shattered, then you have not understood your circumstances. In such circumstances, it is a failure for your heart not to break. And it is pointless to put up a fight, for a fight will blind you to the opportunity that has been presented by your misfortune. Do you wish to persevere pridefully in the old life? Of course you do: the old life was a good life. But it is no longer available to you. It has been carried away, irreversibly. So there is only one thing to do. Transformation must be met with transformation. Where there was the old life, let there be the new life. Do not persevere. Dignify the shock. Sink, so as to rise. ~Mark Nepo

that funky place in between knowing and not knowing

Something we were withholding made us weak

Until we found out that it was ourselves.

  1. How true the way we resist transformation, we want sun when it rains, rain when there is sun, spring when we have winter, and coolness in summers warmth … Should we ever catch up to ourselves we might know the joy of this moment, when we love were we have come to be, whether by choice, or by destiny … Are they not the same?
